WHAT IT MEANS TO US- Jewelry goes beyond something you wear, it's something you carry- it's a connection to stories, memories, and the love we share. Rather than an accessory, it serves as an extension of yourself. It embodies who we are, where we've been, and where we're going.
FROM THE BEGINNING- As a child, I was always drawn to colors, shapes, and textures—piecing together my first necklace, one small bead at a time. Sharing my creations with loved ones awakened something in me. The art of designing and producing a piece by hand from ideation to creation felt deeply fulfilling. After eight years of working in the fashion industry between NYC and CDMX, the corporate world dulled that creative spark. Working alongside some of the most innovative minds taught me the fundamentals of merging artistry with business, and being part of a renowned luxury brand equipped me with invaluable tools. But in amplifying someone else’s vision, I was silencing my own. In 2024, I left my corporate job. With two years of metalsmithing classes behind me, I knew it was time to fully pursue my own dream. Isn't it funny how when we return to our inner child, we realize we had the answers all along?
OUR PROCESS - La Onda is a contemporary jewelry and accessories brand rooted in the rich tradition of Mexican silversmithing. Designed and produced by Liliana Rocha, each piece is handcrafted in Mexico City with an organic approach- transforming raw materials into objects that feel lived-in and personal. They aren’t meant to be perfect; they’re meant to evolve with you, and to hold the stories you collect along the way. With the intention to last a lifetime and be passed down through generations, La Onda creates genderless, timeless pieces meant to be worn as an extension of your individuality.
